After updating BERNINA Embroidery Software 7 to V7.0T, some users are experiencing the following error message and are unable to open their software:
The number of users currently running this application has exceeded the number of network licenses available. Please wait until a license becomes available, or contact your network administrator.
The problem may be that the computer system name is too long (reaches 15 characters), or contains a special character (other than the hyphen).
The standard characters are the numbers 0 through 9, uppercase and lowercase letters from A through Z, and the hyphen (-) character. Computer names can't consist entirely of numbers, nor can they contain spaces. The name also can't contain special characters, such as the following:
< > ; : " * + = \ | ? ,
The solution is to re-name the computer system.
To change your computer name
Open System by clicking the Start button , right-clicking Computer, and then clicking Properties.
Under Computer name, domain, and workgroup settings, click Change settings. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
On the Computer Name tab, click Change.
Under Computer name, delete the old computer name, type a new computer name, and then click OK. If your computer is part of a domain, you will be prompted to provide the name and password of an account that has permission to rename the computer in the domain.
