I am trying to unzip a design file that I purchased on the internet...please help

I purchased a design file and am trying to unzip it so I can stitch it out on my 830. If possible would someone provide me with step by step directions on the process. I figure it is fairly straight forward, but I just can't make it happen. I am currently using Version 6 software.
