Try downloading the embroidery file with the .EXP file extension.
.PES looks as if it may be for Brother machines.

Embroidery design loses stitches
I purchased an embroidery design from etsy in .pes format. When I transfer it from my computer to my 880, it loses about 3,000 stitches which can be seen in the quality of the embroidery. It looks sparse in many places. Is there something I'm missing to correct this?
